How we write and check our articles

Last updated: November 5, 2026

The Bloom blog is for people planning a baby. It is only worth reading if you can trust it, so this page says plainly who stands behind the articles, how they are made and what we will never do.

Who is responsible

Bloom is operated by Gatto Nero Services LLC (“we”). The articles are published by the Bloom team, and we answer for what is on the page. To report a mistake, ask a question or suggest a topic, write to [email protected].

How an article is made

  • We start from what people actually search for and ask while planning, in each language, and from what is missing in the pages that already exist.
  • Articles are drafted with the help of AI tools (Anthropic’s Claude), following written editorial rules, and every language version is written for that language and country, not machine-translated word for word.
  • Every claim that matters is tied to a source we name at the end of the article. We link to the official page; we do not copy it.
  • Only the Bloom team decides what is published.

Sources

We prefer public health bodies and official services: for example the World Health Organization, the CDC, the NHS, NICE, the national health ministries and public insurers of the countries an article covers. Each article lists its sources and the date we last opened every one of them, and says whether a person or our automated link check did it.

Not medical advice, and when a professional reviews it

Bloom is an organization tool. Our articles help you prepare, keep records and bring good questions to the people who care for you. They do not diagnose, recommend treatments, give doses or predict anyone’s chances.

Articles that state general health information are published only after a named health professional has reviewed them, and that person is named at the top of the article. If you do not see a name, no professional has reviewed it. Articles about organization, money, paperwork and communication say when their sources were checked, and that is all they claim.

Money articles

Costs, leave and insurance rules depend on the country, the employer and the insurer. We say which country an article is about and give a figure only when we can name where it comes from and its date. When there is no reliable number, we give you a template to fill in with your own.

Independence

No company pays us for an article or a mention. When an article invites you to use Bloom’s free tools or to create an account, it says so openly: it is our product, and the article is useful without it.

Updates and corrections

Each article shows when it was last updated. If we find or are told about an error, we correct it and change the date. Official guidance changes, so we revisit sources regularly.
